Self-Defense / Traditional BJJ

 

Our Self-Defense class is designed for those who are less interested in the modern sport aspect of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and more interested in the original teachings of BJJ that focused more on real world application of self-defense techniques. In this class we combine both standing (striking) and ground (submission) self-defense techniques so that you learn the most effective skills to protect yourself and your family in real-life scenarios. Taking the Self-Defense class will enable you to feel in control of potentially threatening situations and make your self-confidence grow! The self-defense course is a great introduction to our BJJ  fundamentals classes and many students transition to our group BJJ classes to continue their training. A typical class will include a mobility warm up and demonstration and application of both striking and ground techniques.
